Corrections to 2025 packaging data must be resubmitted by 1 September 2026

Producers must have resubmitted any corrections to their 2025 packaging data under packaging extended producer responsibility by 1 September 2026. The date is the point at which the reported figures stop moving.

After it, a resubmission no longer changes notices of liability or disposal fees. A producer that spots an error on 2 September carries the fee that the uncorrected data produced. The date is a resubmission cut-off rather than a filing date, so a producer with nothing to correct still has reason to read the figures before it.

Producers who pay packaging fees

Any business that pays pEPR fees, including small packaging producers. Fee liability, not company size, is what pulls a business into this date.

Work to finish before the window shuts

• Pull your submitted 2025 packaging data and read it against your own records.
• Correct any tonnage, material or category error and resubmit it before 1 September 2026.
• Keep the resubmission confirmation with the evidence it rests on.
• Check the notice of liability and disposal fees you receive against the data you finally submitted.
• Diarise 1 September 2026 as the last date a correction can change what you pay.
